After the service, Michael commented to me that we must have 100 songs that we've played over the years. I disagreed, putting the number in the 60-80 range. Neither of us were right, but he was much closer. The band has played (by my records) 95 songs, most of which we would be comfortable picking up and playing again.

Of these 95 songs, how do they break down by type?
35% are ballads, which isn't much of a surprise. Ballad is also the default category I give to a song, as it's a pretty broad term.
27% are slow songs, or blues.
22% are fast songs, including some "bouncy" ballads (like The Lady Is a Tramp), and including latin tunes.
The rest (16%) include Christmas songs, a couple of waltzes, etc.
There are 170 songs total in my spreadsheet (including 75 "want to play" songs we haven't performed in public). We've got plenty of raw material to keep the band going to years.
